====== IPSec Client ====== ^ :!: Your Internet Gate does not have VPN license. ^ | You need to purchase a VPN :license to be able to activate the VPN termination in your unit.\\ Only VPN pass-through is available otherwise. | In this scenario you use your Internet Gate as a “client" to connect to a remote IPSec “server" (of any brand). For example you use your Internet Gate to connect to your company's network from home. For this scenario you are recommended to use the Internet Gate's EasyClient feature. Read more at EasyClient or configure client manually. ===== Example: ===== The server (C) you are connecting to must have a static IP address. Clients (D) and (E) must be on a separate subnet than you (A). If your Internet Gate (B) uses the EasyClient feature then your PC (A) can connect to (D), but (E) cannot connect to (A). If IPSec gateway (C) is an Internet Gate you are recommended to use EasyServer on it. If IPSec gateway (C) is not an Internet Gate, and it has a “remote subnet" field for your IPSec connection then specify: (B)'s global IP address if EasyClient is enabled on it. (A)'s local subnet if EasyClient is not enabled :!: Some IPSec gateway brands do not support EasyClient – in such cases turn EasyClient off. ====== ====== \\ VPN Overview
