====== IPSec - Overview ======

The Internet Gate supports termination of [[:VPN:start|VPN]] connections using the IPSec standard. [[wp>IPsec|IPSec]] [[wp>Internet_Key_Exchange|IKE]]

:!: If you have your own IPSec server on the LAN behind your Internet Gate then you need to configure an [[IPSec pass-through]] instead. [[wp>IPsec_Passthrough#NAT_traversal_and_IPsec|Pass-through]]

You can either use [[:VPN:EasyServer]] and [[:VPN:EasyClient]] to create connections, or configure it manually.

You can use pre-shared keys and [[:VPN:certificates]] for authentication.

Click "Add" to create a new VPN client, either using [[:VPN:EasyClient]] or [[:VPN:configure client manually]].

Advanced users can create VPN [[vpn_peer|peers]] and [[vpn_connection|connections]] entirely from scratch with [[VPN advanced|full manual control]].
