The Internet Gate is an ADSL modem with a built-in router and firewall. The modem connects you through your local Internet service provider to the Internet.
The router lets you connect a network of computers or other devices.
The robust firewall protects all devices connected to the Internet Gate and malicious attacks are stopped before they reach the connected devices.
The Internet Gate works like a barrier, shielding all devices on your inside network (e.g. your local network), from the outside network (e.g. the Internet).
