The WAN led on the front panel indicates the current status of the WAN (Internet) connection. If it is not lit, you do not have a connection to your Internet service provider.
If you have problems accessing the Internet follow this procedure.
This procedure assumes that you want to use the Internet Gate as a router and use it to assign IP addresses to all the devices on your local network. For alternative configurations, follow the instructions here .
Check the Internet and Ethernet link. The
WAN and ET leds (those Ethernet ports connected to the
LAN) should be lit. If not, check Ethernet cables. The port named
WAN should be connected to your broadband connection and other Ethernet ports to you computer or local network (through a network hub).
Reboot your computer and try again.
Turn off any existing
DHCP server on your local network.
Make sure all computers connected to the Internet Gate are configured to use dynamic IP addressing.
Try surfing to the Internet Gate. Start your web browser and surf to the Internet Gate web pages. (Default IP address: 192.168.0.1.)
