Normal power on sequence is described here.
If your unit does not start correctly when power is turned on there are a couple of steps you can perform in order to try recovering:
If unit displays just RST for more than a minute then the firmware image in the unit has become damaged and cannot be loaded. You need to use the lifeboat to load a new firmware image into the unit again.
If unit displays CFG RST for more than a minute then the firmware could not start up correctly. It could fail start because of an incorrect or damaged configuration. Perform a reset to factory_defaults:
If unit still does not start correctly use the lifeboat to load a new firmware image into the unit again.
First of all: make sure the display really is completely empty. Units with no WAN access display an almost empty display, with just one single dot lit. In that case re-check and adjust your unit's WAN (Internet) connection.
If the display really is completely empty then try using the lifeboat to load a new firmware image into the unit. If that fails too the unit, or its power supply, is probably damaged and needs repair.
If display shows “888” (all segments lit) the unit's bootloader has failed to start. The unit is damaged and needs repair.
If display shows some other data please check the display description page for further information.
In most cases a seemingly dead unit can be brought back to life by using the lifeboat.
