Internet Gate's telephone ports allow you to:
Phone ports are marked PH1, PH2 on the back panel of the Internet Gate, and LINE for connection to the global telephone network.
Connect a telephone to the FXS port to make ordinary or SIP calls. It is possible to connect up to 5 phones to each FXS port. The two phone ports allows you to have two different registrations (phone numbers).
FXS1 controls port PH1, FXS2 controls port PH2.
For each port you specify the SIP address to use, and (if authentication is required) the user ID and password. The SIP address is a combination of your username and your domain, like john@company.com. Used ID might be the same as your username, if not specified separately. Display name is the descriptive username sent to other SIP phones when you make calls (usually your own name).
You can make calls and control your phone either by dialing on the phone or clicking on the buttons on this webpage.
The dialcodes you dial on your phone for certain actions are country dependent. For each button on the web interface you see the according dial code to perform the same action dialing on the phone.
Using the buttons or dial codes you can dial (make calls), transfer calls to other recipients, reject (deny) an incoming call, and have two calls you can alter between or join together for a mini-conference:
You can enable call waiting (small beeps indicate another incoming call while you are in a call, and you can put current call on hold and answer that new call), do not disturb and anonymous calls.
You can also select telephony keys style - what dialcodes to press on phone for different functions. Select style and press Apply to see according dialcodes in Call Control buttons.
By connecting Internet Gate to a landline it can act as a gateway between the global telephone network and IP telephony. You can use any SIP phone registered to it to call ordinary telephone numbers or answer incoming calls.
To make calls to ordinary telephone numbers you can enter the telephone number to call, with either a special domain or prefix:
